LOGO + BRAND IDENTITY
The logo and brand identity for Core Empowerment’s co-located businesses have been thoughtfully designed to convey their shared purpose while maintaining distinctiveness. SEED represents the retail aspect of the cannabis dispensary, while CORE embodies the social justice museum. Both logos, featuring a custom font style reminiscent of bent jail cell bars, have been crafted to encapsulate the essence of the company’s mission, becoming iconic symbols that represent their values. These logos have been developed to be integral parts of the brand’s DNA that work when they stand on their own and when they are combined.
RETAIL IS THE PHYSICAL REPRESENTATION OF THE BRAND
Our involvement in the project encompasses the design of the physical retail and museum spaces, along with the graphic design for signage and logos that effectively communicate the SEED and CORE brands. Similar to the spatial design that intertwines retail and education, the two brands are seamlessly interwoven to convey the company’s mission and character.
CRAFTING A NARRATIVE
While we engaged in the design of the physical retail and museum space and the company’s initial branding, an extended team will continue to be involved in the many other aspects of the brand as the company evolves. To ensure consistency, we created a Brand Style Guide that serves as a reference point for the entire team, facilitating cohesive representation of the company through visual materials and messaging.
A VISUAL MISSION STATEMENT
Collaborating closely with the client, we developed the Brand Style Guide to establish a consistent framework across all marketing, packaging, and messaging efforts, enhancing the memorability of the brand. The comprehensive document outlines the company’s mission, target demographics, and standards for logo usage, fonts, color palette, and graphics.
